By adopting proven technologies from the automotive sector we can transform food manufacturing with APRIL (Automated Processing Robotic Ingredient Loading). APRIL has been developed in partnership with a leading global robot manufacturer and the University of Lincoln, with a full size demonstration due for installation December 2015 at the National Centre for Food Manufacturing.APRIL will integrate and enhance two existing Innovate UK collaborative research projects into cryogenic cooling and rapid heating and mixing (Steam Infusion).
Jake Norman started working at OAL after graduating from the University of Bristol with a degree in Economics & Management. Having previously worked for Deloitte in both Audit and Consultancy streams, he recognised that he could make the biggest impact in an innovative SME.OAL provide engineering solutions that utilise disruptive technologies to minimise food manufacturing costs (efficiency, cost, sustainability). In his role, Jake has worked closely with leading UK food manufacturers to realise significant cost reductions through the use of OAL's disruptive technologies.
