The Döhler Group stands at the forefront of defining global food and beverage trends and responding to these trends by supplying raw materials, technologies, products and applications. Currently, 20% of the Döhler staff are involved with innnovation and new product development.
One powerful trend in the current global food market is the replacement of animal protein products, with this in mind Döhler is responding by developing new sources of protein especially proteins derived from botanical origins. This example highlights the strategies we are currently developing to achieve this aim and maintain nutritional value and sensory quality.
Innovative strategies have to include a strong external fertilization by experts from academia, suppliers and the public. Döhler’s Open Innovation Strategy will be discussed where the University of Chester is an important strategic partner.
